JANE YANG-D’HAENE, born in South Korea, is a ceramic artist renowned for combining her cultural heritage with her bold experimentation. After moving to New York City in 1984, she attended the Cooper Union School of Architecture, later refining her design expertise at a leading architectural firm. In the last few years, Yang-D’Haene has established herself as a significant force in the medium of ceramics participating in over 50 exhibitions. Moon jar pieces acquired by the Harvard Art Museums, the Brooklyn Museum, and the Sarmaya Arts Foundation in Mumbai, highlight her role in redefining this classic form. In February of 2026, Yang-D’Haene was announced as the finalist for the Loewe Foundation Craft Prize.
